
The first daffodils of 2011 are blooming in the hedgerows already. These are just 20 yards up the road from us, and soon the lane to the village church will be lined by hundreds of yellow blooms. The daffs in our garden are well in bud so we have those to look forward to.

There are hundreds of snowdrops in our garden at the moment, and you will also find them in the hedgerows out and about in the North Lakes.

This week the trees opposite us have really started changing into their autumn hues, and have been almost glowing in the brilliant sunshine we have been having. The holly trees are full of ripe berries – just ready to be attacked by the birds!
